what do you lot mean when you say no greens?

It means they didn't use any of the notation in the squares to mark possible numbers for that square.

again what does that mean?

No worries. If you shift-click on a square, a box will come up with all nine numbers. If you shift-click on a number, it will put a small green number in the square, kind of a way to make notes for yourself about what's possible fo rthat square.

You should see a grid with all nine numbers, with two buttons labeled "clear" and "cancel" underneath.

If you shift click on one of the numbers in that grid, it will put a small green number in that square. It's a way of making notes if you're trying to figure out what all of the possibilities are for a given square.
