I am still a newbie at this even though i have been playing this for a year or more

it's normal. If you play several sudoku a day you will get very fast .if you want to... Also you can learn some interesting solving techniques

Done. Took 5 hours, used ever technique, auto greens+reds, a few external applications, meditation, medication, and then I finally found the obvious number I'd been missing.

Still need to do the puzzles I missed during my wild Vegas weekend.
