yeah, i actually watch very little tv, but i got attached to bones, house, and csi because my mom always watches them ;) i'm looking forward to the warm weather so i can go mountain biking and swimming, etc. .... :D yay summer!

lol ;) well there's not THAT much light. where i'm at in the northeast US. but there is a little one or two days of the week for a small portion of the day. we call it 'spring'

it's true, i've been told that :) then again, when you have been in so many of these northeast winters and you're sick of the cold, you start to think ... maybe i could trade staying inside all winter for staying inside all summer

i hope you're not close to the tornadoes? it's been such a bad season this year

my brother is in the florida panhandle, we always have to worry when it gets to be hurricane season

I'm in a tornado -prone area, but it seems like the region south of us has been getting them all this year... i'm in central illinois. we have our fair share...

i definatly am not into hurricanes... i'll take my chances with a tornado - small footprint... hurricanes have very large footprints.

yeah. i lived for a short stint near my brother. it was very nerve-wracking

the locals wouldn't even bother with the evacuations, but you'd better believe we were out of there ;) of course, it's nearly impossible TO leave, all the gas stations run out of gas when they do an evacuation. you're just lucky to get enough to get you far enough north for it to matter

sheesh! that's crazy!

i know. its very odd that they never talk about it on the news stations, when they complain about people who don't leave during the evacuations and then need to be rescued later

about a day before they actually officially announce you need to leave, 50% of the gas stations are already dry, and the hotels for a three - four state area are booked

we were lucky enough to have family 7 hours to the north of us, but then it was a gamble to even go, you have to just hope you'll find gas on the trip up when the car gets low. some people run out on the side of the highway, esp. when the highways are all stopped because of everybody heading one way.

and then there are the people in older vehicles, and those overheat and die on the highway, then traffic isn't moving at all ... it's really a nightmare to deal with it. i'm glad to be out of it altho it is so cold up here ;)

huh... wow... i guess i won't be moving to the south anytime soon. i don't think i could deal with all that.

its why so many don't evacuate i think. luckily tho last year was very low on hurricanes, even though i think they had predicted it would be record amounts

it seems like usually they predict it to be really really bad anyway

of course they do... better to be over cautious...

one more thing i liked about arizona. they don't get hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes ... they don't really get any of those big natural disasters there

well...i've enjoyed this chat... but it's past my bedtime now.... i better hit the hay.

they sometimes get some flash flooding but i don't think people usually die unless they're kind of dumb and go into an area that says keep out
