I have to pay $858 tomorrow. Last year my brokerage company made a mistake in setting up an IRA. They said they couldn't fix it. And this year I'd rather pay the $858 than be out the $5000 until I retire.

I just looked at my forms again, I may not be in so much trouble as I thought. My broker reported capital gains distributions on the 1099 which is probably the sales of mutual funds I "forgot".

seriously...this year was the hardest year ever for me for filing taxes...got married and moved out of state, resulting in WAY too many tax forms to file. yuck! while a happy, happy year, for tax purposes i say good riddance, 2007!

I love how competitive everyone is with their times, but its so subtle. i guess it isn't subtle, but it certainly isn't conventional racing where times are posted on a chart or something.
