Great Andy. I remember my 2 sons being in the pinewood derby at the same time. One took 3rd the other took 1st.

Though, I did the actual sawing of his car, he did the rest. Next year I'll let him saw.

He didn't place at the pack level, he came in a close 4th there. But winning the den is enough to send him to the district races in april. Lord help me!

Many years ago I was asked to be a judge. Didn.t know I was allergic to shellac fumes and got terribly sore eyes.

Yeah, have fun with the cars and the whole district thing. My sons didn't get beyond that, but how many scouts could say they went?

We're thinking of polyurethene now... just to reduce wind resistance... and I may take of the wheels and better graphite them for the districts. Or not.

very long day today though. I'm asst. cubmaster so I helped take down and clean up (I missed setup) and also did all the announcing today. So, I'm hoarse and exhausted.

finally done. Some pairs, an xy-chain, a few forcing chains, and other fun things. Also used Raucehnbacher's inverted diddlyoop maneuver. This inverts the entire board to base 17 and uses differential calculus to reduce possibilities.
