so what's up with the rankings? Anyone notice anything a little, um, STRANGE going on?

well, for one thing, the top ranked "Cream o' the Crop" appears no where else (they aren't in the "village elders" column and "mam20" who is 2nd highest in the VE only has a COC of 38.

isn't it because mam20 has only played a few games that her CoC status is so high

this has been debated for ages.. If the games are equally distributed, your ranking would be around 250. DR_G said he was going to work on something to make it better

if you only do one expert, you'd have about 500 ranking in CoC, whereas the average would be 250. But don't forget the extra point for each played game. So eventually, when you've played 200 games, you'd have a score around 550.

What disturbs me more is that eventually everyone who wants will have done all of the puzzles and all have the same score...

He's working on that, too

It is easy enough to keep track of what date the game was completed and only give 1/2 credit for the game or something

yep, there should be some advantage in doing it on the day (I know I don't bother any more since I can catch up a day or two later)

there is nothing saying when he puts the new scores in place that waiting won't come back to haunt you

He is keeping track of if the game is done -he may be keeping track of when you completed it. When the new scores go in, he may go back to that data and only give you partial credit for doing it a day or two later
