On the subject of URs, I seem to recall a puzzle on this site a few years ago where a UR did not work. Several users called it out, and I experienced it myself. I dont think it was a case of there being two solutions - using the UR simply led to a non-solution. The takeaway - save a checkpoint before trying a UR!

janetb50, I believe the puzzle you refer to had an arrangement which looked like a UR but which did not conform to the two blocks rule of the UR method.The rule requires that two of the pairs are positioned in one 9 block and the other two pairs are in one other 9 block. Some people had overlooked that important detail of the UR method.
