MrOoijer. Well, a block pincer is a chain. But it only involves one number -- no Y. The salient point is that the chain involving that number comes around from two directions against a block, and one prospective move of two blocks that number from appearing anywhere in that block, thus eliminating that move and thereby approving the other.
