Difficulty score 23. One key hidden pair breaks it open.
not very hard
that was easier than an easy one.
no greens. That was pretty easy
done. no greens.
Thanks for the 3 point gift!
Get it yet, Inge?
Stef told me about the Backsplitter keKey Tap Method. Works well on this puzzle if combined with the Paplowski Shift
Difficulty rating on the Feldhoff Scale is...lets's see...ah...27

seriously puzzle 18 has me stumped
i've been doing it for 3 days now, lol. i have all the greens mapped out as logically as i can yet i still only have the 2 obvious squares filled in
i wish i could help ... i've done that one, but once it's all filled in i have no clue as to how to give hints
any idea what logical method you used?
i see no hidden pairs or anything, this things got me
well, it was so long ago ... what i usually do that works really fast is, i only put in greens where there are two possibilities in a section
that way, i catch the pairs really easily because there aren't a lot of other numbers mucking it up
then, if i've put in all the pair possibles in each 9 square section, and i'm stuck, i do all the threes and see what that gets me
does that make sense? i'm bad at explaining things
i go through each number - fill out all the 1's taking into account the surrounding rows etc, then 2's, and so on. so i generally spot the pairs as i'm going - it's easy to see which lines can't have x because x only exists on line blah in one of the segments, etc. but i just don't see anything useful here
i've gone through each row and column having filled in all the greens and theres no hidden pairs or tripples or quads or anything
hmmm. what numbers do you have filled in? i'll try to recreate it
i've the 4 on the bottom middle and the 3 on the middle left - the 2 most obvious lol. other than that they're all green
i figured the 7 in the bottom left once but that seemed to be a mistake. no idea how i figured it if it wasn't
would it break the rules to take a screenshot and paste a link here?
i mean it's not like it's todays puzzle lol#
you can paste a link, that's fine :)
that helps me
hi yul! how are you?
hey btwrt I'm good but had to restart all ready. I am in a hurry to do lots of things today. I better go before it's too late :)
I will speak to you soon. have a nice day
ok i have a screenshot, lol
not looking for direct answers but any advice would be appreciated. cheers
easy no greens done!
One hidden pair finished it off for me. Didn't seem like a hard.
TrickyRic am looking at yr screenshot and can't give you a proper sudoku push as I work randomly but could "hint you" a square if that would help
ok yes please :D
Central square, central number.
oh, good, fmitch, i'm glad you're helping. i am so bad at hinting!
ok cheers - i'll try and figure out how you got that before i fill it in lol
Good luck have to head off for a while.
p.s I'm a woman so best not to try and work out how I got that, LOL just accept it and find all the others :)
not a hard
Well, since it is a hard, I think I'll just go ahead and green up.
Cute. Plenty of loners to start.
it starts easy, you might be able to do without greens
Done. Why that was certainly the easiest Hard ever. Nothing but loners, two or three ordinary crosshatch, and one pair. It could easily be done without greens.
this is hard???
done, with greens
sooo easy even without greens
if this was an easy it would be easy.
and if it was a medium... then it would be ... what ?
really medium ????
done ! - had to take 1 guess... and it worked !!! bye all !
I'm sorry but did anyone find that extremely easy?
had to green up near the end... drat... but i would classify as medium
This was too easy to be a hard. It could be solved by simple crosshatching.
when will people learn to believe that hards are the easiest. i have said it, lo, this many a day
