At the risk of sounding ignorant, what is a UR please?

i. mean. i think i've heard the term unique rectangle but don't know what it means

where there are corresponding pairs in different quadrants where one of the squares has an extra number, e.g. 2,3 2,3 2,3 and 2,3,4. In that case the 4 is the number. See this link: https://tinyurl.com/y2ff8x54

UR assume a "properly" formed puzzle, i.e. no ambiguous squares.
