I feel sorry for you MrO, and thank all my fellow West Australians for keeping their distance and washing their hands. Apart from one case today from someone whose just come back from overseas and is isolating we haven't had a case for 8 days. Closing our state borders has had a massive impact. We're now able to meet in groups of 10, still social distancing of 1.5m, and should be easing more restrictions on Sunday. We're coming out cautiously but with optimism.

Hardly a great model that denies it's people access to healthcare based on their ability to pay. And in so much of the country denies equal justice based on colour. (and yes colour does have a u in it)

And yes, Australia needs to be looking to do much better at our treatment of our indigenous people who we could learn so much from and yet have treated so badly for too long.

If this pandemic has taught us one thing, it is that we are all equal, we are all human beings and we need to care far more for our planet and it's peoples whoever they live.

One thing you are fortunate to have in the US is the freedom to vote and choose your leaders, even though the system is far from fair, you do have that choice. Not everywhere in the world is so privileged. But with it comes responsibility, to think not just about what's in it for me, but what's in it for everyone.

In a time of crisis, Australians, who are from all around the world, have united in caring for each other. You see it in almost every place on earth, care for your neighbour and you will care for yourself.
