decided to read 1-6 before starting 7 so it was a marathon. 7 books in about 2 weeks. insane.

Oh, I'd read it before. Before each book, I'd re-read the previous ones.

That's how I could get through 1-6 in under 2 weeks... I go much faster if I'm just re-reading

So, I read them all and get bad eye-strain and I also got an iPhone which is NOT HELPING :)

I hear zens are good ones. The iPhone makes our 3rd iPod in the house now. My 7 year old claims he should get one of them :)

man! I'm 27 and just got one. lol when I was 7, an mp3 player would have blown my mind!

it is a good player. It's a 30gb player, so I've got a fantastic library on it.

but converting all those CDs took forever!

We are only letting him use my wife's old iPod shuffle (she gets my 20G iPod since I got the phone) because it has a max volume setting so I know he can't wreck his hearing. but he borrows it, it's not his.

what is the capacity of the iphone?

I have >500 CDs and I spent one unemployed summer ripping all of them into iTunes... but now all our CDs are stored in the basement and we live off the iPods so there's no clutter. It's much nicer now

yeh, I'v got about 400... had them all in a big carousel changer, but now i can take my whole library ion the car, or when i fly.

just a little program tht came with it... the Zen Media explorer

Well, my macs were severance from my last job... they're aging and in need of replacement...

I have gottena promotion since my last computer... so maybe the next one i'll get will be a mac... but would I be able to transfer all my media over to a mac? I mean, do images and audio files move easielly?

I think so... they've made it easy to switch but I don't know the details.

that's still a couple years away, anyway
