Voting in Federal Election in Australia today. Compulsory here, well at least to arrive at a polling booth, you can choose not to cast a proper vote, but why would you waste that opportunity?

Phil, I am curious. Knowing that you must vote, do people prepare more and acquaint themselves with the issues? or do they just vote for anybody to get it done?
