well Phil, it shows how little these people really know about countries outside the US as I have repeatedly said here. That US ambassador in the Netherlands is just one more example of that ignorance.

Phil, MrO - I was living in Canada when Geo. W. Bush (who is these days looking brilliant) was destroying good will around the world. Canadians would routinely approach me and my (also US citizen) husband to ask "WTF?". I'm back in the US, but can only imagine what expats are experiencing in other countries. On behalf of the majority of us who did not vote for the crazed one, we are so sorry.

Phil and MrO. There is a majority of the people here that do not accept our President as legitimate. These people are never shown to the general public in the media. Take New York and other municipalities banning Hydrofracturing for natural gas. Huge rallies, no media coverage. There will be marches all over the country January 29th. The ignorance, stupidity, and racism you are being subjected to on a daily basis from our s***-hole President is shameful to the more than 11 million people who voted for someone else. His support among those who voted for him is dwindling. Except for the most ignorant, stupid, and racist supporters. Unfortunately in this country it is not a crime to be ignorant, stupid, or a racist.

So to tie up my disjointed last post. The media ignores the Resistance or down plays it. The media rewards ignorance, stupidity and racism. There is a huge, I would say super majority of people here that do not reward ignorance, stupidity and racisim but it is hard to see that if you watch Fox News or some of the other media from the U.S. Actually the date for the 2018 Womens March is January 20.

And Phil and MrO we here in the U.S. are not the only Nation who exhibits these woeful traits. Europe is in the midst of a resurgence of Right Wing Nationalism. Australia has never had a great reputation for being the most tolerant country in the world. We here in the U.S. due to our Military/Industrial complex domination of this planet are rightly criticized for our failures because they have a greater effect on the globe than others. But let it be known that there are a majority of the people here in the U.S who are working towards change. To quote Joe Hill, "Don't mourn, Organize!"
