I'm a bit baffled how anyone can think the earth is only a few thousand years old. Even if you thought it all started with Adam and Eve, homosapiens started arriving in what was to become Australia 60,000 years ago. Beliefs can rarely be debunked, after all, they are just beliefs. God is only a belief.

Biggest problem I have with religions is they are all essentially saying they are better than the others. Clearly none of them are any better than any of the others. They also seem to think that if you believe in their religion you are a better person. Personally, better people are those that give more than they take and respect everyones views ebven if they don't agree with them.

I'd have more respect for religions if they all got together and started working as one for the good of all humanity, not just their followers. There is still a lot of poverty in the world to sort out first.

And far too many people are killed around the world by all religions in the name of their god. Yep, even the so called Christians were just as guilty in centuries past.

Well, @phil, of course that god is the beginning of the circle, and its end, it is the cause of everything, it is the one hand clapping , it is and is not as the same time, its time ans space and everything else, and --- by the way -- earth is not older than 20000 years because otherwise it would violate some physics law.

Um yes. Because that god al in a sudden out of nothing created earth with all the lasw in tact and of course they were all written in stone. He did put all those fossiles into the earth because by golly, we did need a couple of riddels, didnt we? He's a funny guy isnt he - but wait ...
