However, I don't understand why you can no longer use your old ID, which I assume was ringo, and which is still active with an impressive ranking of 7586.

I suggest that you ask Dr God to deactivate your newer ID, ringo1, which has a ranking of only 7 as of today (Tuesday). This would free up your current email address so that Dr God could then associate it with your original ID and get that account up and running again. Wouldn't that make you a lot happier?
