wellllll I just went around to each box and cleared them manually

I used the shift buttong before clicking on the square to put in the greens

oh. lol I'd never tried that... didn't know it could be done. lol

a little slow to start, no greens needed though.

for greens you hold shift when clicking a box

you can add possibilities that way

okay, nevermind that was forever ago, he's probably gone

the "alt" key is closer on a laptop... and instead of greens you get reds :-P

instead of holding the "shift" key down

i like the idea, but for whatever reason, maybe its firefox but it always keys in the windows shortcut, such as alt+f for the file menu

and it just aggrivates me to see that little file menu item go blue

i don't use firefox... i didn't really like it

i can't even think about going back anymore

yeah that aggravates me too.

i have so many extensions and im so used to tabbed browsing, even though ie added it, i just have no love for it anymore

im happy i kept a dual boot though, i have xp media and vista dual

i'm debating whether i want to get it on my new system... laptops running short on memory

and i use the computer alot more now

cause vista just doesnt get along with a lot of my stuff, such as firewalls, cd burning software, iso mounting software

yeah thats some of my concerns.

yeah, i just bought a new laptop about a month ago and it runs vista perfectly

if you have a copy of xp sitting around you can install it on a second partition and set up a dual boot like i have done, unfortunately it eats a lot of HD too having both os's

and even though it was beta for a long time and they worked out all the kinks... you can't help but think there might be more (as what is expected with any new technology...) besides no "classic" mode --- pfft!

i figure vista will come into its own, even if it does take another 6 months, everything will work with it eventually

i'm not too sure i'd want my hd partitioned just to run a a new os

vista just runs so smoothly, thats what i love, its such a 'pretty' interface and makes it easy to work. but as far as functionality, it leaves a little more to be desired

it's hard finding a pc that has xp installed... i think i might just build one myself

vista actually has a non-destructive partition resizer built in to it

oh, the one thing that has me really ticked off at vista, is that it doesn't read my new u3 flash drive, doesn't have drivers for it

that sucks

oh well i guess, ill just have to wait for drivers

i mostly use it at work anyways

games and stuff installed for when theres nothing to do

im alone most of the day and all my work is done, its just a matter of waiting for another crisis so i can have something to do

ive been doing this site since last march, but then i stopped for a while and just bought a pro account about a month ago, so from last april through feb i have about 6 puzzles done

any good projects you worked on with nasa, i actually just had an interview with united space alliance in houston about 6 months ago

i would say the one major difference between easy and hard is the easy ones just cascade once you break that wall, hards theres more walls and no cascade until the very end

i bought my account last March... did a couple puzzles. Got really busy at work, personal life etc. Then I moved, I had a baby, and totally forgot that I had an account. Meanwhile I'd been buying tons of sudoku books to do in my spare time. I finished the last one and then got on the internet to find printable sudokus and stumbled on this site --- memory found itself and I logged back in... I've done quite a few puzzles since being back...

i started out as an intern when i was in highschool... got offered a FT when I graduated. Worked FT for 5 years...

I don't know why, but I struggle with the easy ones. Very weird.

Mediums for me. I just... can't do them very well. Easy ones are usually pretty, well, easy, though.

Hard and expert? no problems.

But man, those mediums. I tell ya.

OrangeSlice, I'm exactly the same. Expert, bring it on. Mediun and I'm usually stumped.

how are you today? having some trouble with mediums... and I thought I was the only one.

I am constantly troubled by the mediums.

some of the easy's don't seem easy for me... while alot of the experts I've solved... were pretty easy... do you have that problem?

Experts are usually slow but steady for me. Mediums I tend to get stuck for some long period of time before finding one or two cells.

Easy's are... back and forth.

yeah, that is what i mean... like today's... was really easy but the easy the other day... well that was a little difficult and then one of the archives i was working on today... it gave me the biggest fit...

Well you know, if you have other things on your mind and can't focus on the puzzle, even the most obvious solutions will evade you.

I sat here staring at a chain for 10 minutes before realizing that I had filled in a cell elsewhere some time ago that solved the whole thing.

true, but that is why i try to clear my thoughts before attacking a puzzle. they calm me down. it's very therapeutic for me

Yep, this is the last Dec. for me, then it's on to November.

I'm working the archives in reverse chronological order.

i started doing that, now i am just skipping around

there were only two 1s at the beginning and I haven't filled a songle one of them in. Been green and red since about the 8th square was filled in
