That's hard to explain... with a really Dutch G, which is a sharp sound in the back of your throat. The 'e' is like in 'uh'. Then 'w' which in dutch doesn't start with the 'oo' sound. And 'is' just like you say it.

I think it's that students learn the algorihms for adding and multiplying, and adding is counterintutive so they forget that they can't add denominators

i always tell them to think of it like apples.

don't worry about having to guess--it's weird, but depending on what order I do the puzzle, i sometimes have to guess when other people don't.

Apparently. I don't MIND guessing, was just trying to see if I Could without. I finished the last couple wihtout and it felt good

Yeah, if you have told me the 6/7 pair that would have solved it for me. I had to guess at it, but at least it was educated.

why is it that I have a much harder time doing mediums that hard or experts?

I think it depends on your solution style. I sometimes have more trouble with easy ones than expert. I don't use any marking though
