Anne: If you are curious about my score, check out my profile, there is a link to an explanation.
Correction, it's not a link, it is a URL that you can cut and paste into the URL field of your browser.
Anne: one more note, if you do follow the link for an explanation of my score, don't get discouraged by the discussion of the program I wrote, scroll down past that to an explanation of the scoring algorithm.
If your rank is 7000, you have been doing these puzzles for 9 years, 2 months, 1 week, and 6 days.
Assuming a 10 minute solve time (I apologize to Phil and the strangely silent Kaosangel) you have spent 560 hours at the task.
Or, if you prefer, 23 days of the 24 hour type.
And if you do them at work and earn the princely sum of $10 an hour (geez, I hope so!) you have earned $5600.00
I am at 7000 but slower than molasses...therefore I have spent a heck of a lot longer doing these puzzles...but I've loved every minute (maybe not at the time for some of them.)
DING. Reasonably interesting. 16.
Kept falling asleep last night, and made a mistake somewhere. Starting again.
Did another old Expert, this one requiring a guess tree three deep. To challenge myself I made a rule that I have to remember my guess tree, not write it down. Got it with two good guesses and one mistake.
Congratulations 1Hammer for successfully completing the necessary strategy for topping the Who's Hot list on the same day that the Elites hit the 7000 mark. I think there were a few more than 100 players who had the same Who's Hot score as you, but you still achieved all the glory of being in first place because you know the secret (which I will not mention here) that will enable you to continue to reign as the champion for the indefinite future. And unlike the Elites, you had only 2 weeks in which to perform your minor miracle. All hail to the mighty Who's Hot leader!
