Got lazy and scriptleted the greens in (should have been able to spot that hidden single), then did my first successful "simple coloring" by sight to wrap the rest of it up.

Come on, people. Don't give up and guess. It's real easy. A clever self-inflicted line crosshatch, a type 1 and a type 2 unique rectangle, and the absolutely most easy block pincer possible. It's cinchy, man!

u t h: where do you get a description or your logic----'block pincer'???

Gman -- "Block Pincer" is my word. I suppose it is similar to an X-wing. Three cells in three separate blocks, each a pair (for example (1,9)). Thus, there will be either a 1 above a fourth block and a 1 beside it, or a 9 both above and beside. If the 1 in both positions prevents a 1 from going anywhere in the fourth block, then it is a 9 above and beside. That's all. Really simple.

UTH; I think each of us plays sudoku for personal reasons. I know nothing of the meaning of your game vocabulary ,have never used a " green ", and solve these for relaxation purposes only'
