ok this time it worked for me . unique rectangles all the way! it works also when there are multiple candidates in the 4th cell

Evidently, there are techniques which can help solve this kind of thing. I am personally a fan of using logical, methodical techniques to solve problems in my work and my life, but sudoku is a game for me, so I kind of wing it and see what happens sometimes ..

Don't you know? Shift-click on a number, for greens. Alt-click on a number for reds. Then there is some other key sequence, I forget, to insert Autogreens. But I never use them any more, though I have a copy in my profile.

The greens and reds are there to keep track of which numbers can or cannot be in any particular square. Some people can do this in their head. My memory is not so good ..

I don't think there's a way to use them on a phone, but I could be wrong.

There isn't a way on the phone I just prefer the smaller screen for it
