Oh I see @ dr who. My mental algorithm starts with the 9 numbers and the six box/row or box/column combinations: for each number in 1:9 { for each of the six combinations: if two i's are filled, see if and where the third can go}. This doesnt make that row-column or box distinction. my problem is actually with loners. for me they are harder to visualuze than f.i. simple colourings
