you can put little green numbers in the cells by using the shift key and the left mouse button.

used mostly on more difficult puzzles when one's not sure if a 5 or a 9 is the correct number for the cell.

awkwardly explained. it's a way of making notes. very clever people hardly ever need to make notes (use greens).
