puzzle was very odd, very different - required a lot more pencil marks for such a small use of any advanced patterns - maybe I'll logout, type it in and time myself in Simple Sudoku

you gotta use the two almost complete boxes to your advantage

you know the digits that complete them

but not the exact location of where they go

but im still workin on it

so you know that certain digits have to go in a certain spot, so then try to fill out the remaining row

right, but there are like 2-3 instances of "well either this or that can go here, but this has to finish out the other box, so it must be this"

while yesterday's i was sitting on for the whole day

the medium ones always give me more trouble than even the hard ones

this one has nice layout of numbers. you need to anticipate position in one block, and then it shows you exactly where a number will NOT go in the other blocks/rows

and there's no guessing involved at all, it just plods round number after number

right

I had it 1 row first column

notice the sixth position on the second line? that column already has 2,5,7 - so only 1 can fit there

6th position 2nd line? so my 1 is right in the first position!

the top right square has six given numbers, so the top 3 are knowable. can you figure out what that means for the top middle square?

It seems like the only reason I have trouble with these is when I put the wrong possible numbers in or forget to take them out.

Other than that I think the logic is pretty easy and fun.

I use explorer too.

Nobody - you can make pencil marks by holding shift (green marks) or alt (red marks) when you click the number in the popup

common use is green for possible numbers, red for not possible...but how you use it is up to you

This one was actually pretty easy....one you get a few things filled in it starts to crumble

I thought this was an "easy" puzzle. lasted only about 30 mins this morning. Sometimes these medium are a hard also. they seem to go both ways.
