last summer our house (it's a block of flats from 1920) had some brick repointing done. They were drilling so hard, tiles in my bathroom came off, newer mind the loudest noise you can ever imagine. I thought I will not survive it.

i dont' see why they need to start at 7 AM on the weekends, either...

sure. some builders prefer to come to work 6 am to avoid the traffic. I would be stuffed if they could do it here.
