There are theories that the first verse of Jabberwocky was actually old Anglo-Saxon. I think that is probably not true. The explanation in the book was that they sounded like real words. A hint at information theory.

I am a computer programmer/electrical engineer. We are "forced" to learn such things. Actually, most of us rather enjoy it.
